Mills to Compete at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Junior Isaac Mills (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's indoor track and field team has received an invite to compete at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will be held March 9-10 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, with Birmingham Southern College and the Birmingham CrossPlex serving as hosts.

Mills was selected to compete in the 800-meter run following his performance this past Saturday at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern University. Mills recorded a personal-best time of 1:54.50, which was converted to 1:52.89 because of running on a 200-meter flat track Saturday and this year's championships are being run on a bank track. His time currently seeds him 15th at the meet.

Mills will hit the track with preliminaries of the mile to start at 3:45 p.m. CT on Friday, March 9. The finals will take place on Saturday at 3:40 p.m. CT.
