    The 15th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team traveled 24th-ranked Denison University on Sunday and left with a 6-3 win over the Big Red. The Tartans concluded the regular season with an 8-7 mark while the Big Red are now 10-6.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team, ranked 15th nationally hosted the 16th-ranked Eagles of University of Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon. The Tartans came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Eagles 5-4. The Tartans are now 7-6 while the Eagles move to 15-4.

    The 15th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team hosted Division I Duquesne University for a midweek match on Tuesday, April 2. The Tartans defeated the Dukes, 4-2, with the match played by Division I rules and to decision. The Tartans are now 6-6 for the season.

The Spartans were victorious by a 5-4 score evening the Tartans record at 3-3 while CWRU is now 5-1.

The setback moves the Tartans record to 3-2 while the Bears improve to 4-2.

Downing also played in the singles bracket, placing sixth.

    Seniors Chaz Downing (Newport Beach, Calif. / Corona Del Mar) and Daniel Levine (Highland Park, Ill. / Boca Prep International School) played in both the doubles and singles finals of the ITA Southeast Regional tournament on Sunday, September 30 on the campus of the University of Mary Washington. The pair won the doubles crown while Downing topped Levine for the singles title.

    With three wins on Friday at the ITA Southeast Regional Singles and Doubles Tournament, senior Daniel Levine (Highland Park, Ill. / Boca Prep International School) set a new school record for all-time combined wins with 142. His last win on Friday topped the previous record held by James Muliawan who starred for the Tartans from 2006-2010.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team prepared for the upcoming ITA Southeast Regional with a home invitational against Duquesne University on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22. The Tartans won 25 of 35 matches for the weekend with senior Chaz Downing (Newport Beach, Calif. / Corona Del Mar), senior Vayum Arora (Fremont, Calif. / Mission San Jose) and sophomore Ray Boppana (Boxborough, Mass. / Acton Boxborough Regional) leading the group with four wins apiece.
