    #7 Tartans Sweep John Carroll The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s tennis team hosted John Carroll University for its first Division III match of the spring season after facing five opponents from Division I or II schools. The Tartans won the match 9-0 to move to 5-4 on the season.

    #7 Tartans Drop Close Match at DI Youngstown State The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team, ranked seventh in Division III, traveled north to Boardman, Ohio, to face Division I Youngstown State University at the Boardman Tennis Center on Saturday, February 18 and fell in a close match, 5-2. The match was the fifth straight for the Tartans against a Division I or II opponent.

    Downing Named UAA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis sophomore Chaz Downing (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week following his play for the Tartans over the weekend.

    Tartans Split with Division I and II Opponents The Carnegie Mellon University men’s tennis team, ranked seventh in Division III, topped Division II Walsh University, 8-1, before falling to Division I Saint Francis University, 5-2, on Saturday, February 11. Both matches were played at The Club Sport and Life in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The Tartans are now 4-3 on the season while the Cavaliers dropped just their second match of the year and are now 6-2 and the Red Flash advance to 4-2.

    Men’s Tennis Battles Division I Saint Joseph’s The No. 7 Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team welcomed Division I foe Saint Joseph’s University to Pittsburgh on Saturday, February 4. The Tartans dropped a hard fought battle, 6-1, to the Hawks and are now 3-2 overall.

    Men’s Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision to Duquesne The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team, ranked seventh nationally, began the spring season with an indoor match against Division I Duquesne University on Friday, February 3. The Dukes defeated the Tartans, 5-2, to move Carnegie Mellon's record to 3-1.

    Tennis Programs Give Back to University, Meet 100% Giving Challenge All members of the men’s and women’s tennis teams accepted the challenge given by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) to contribute to their programs and the athletic department. The tennis teams became the first to achieve 100 percent giving this year, in the third year of the challenge.

The Tartans are also ranked second in the Atlantic South Region.

    Rozenvasser Places Fourth at ITA Oracle Cup Freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) completed his run at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Oracle Cup on Saturday, October 15 in the third-place match. Rozenvasser finished fourth as the first Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis freshman to play in the national tournament.

    Rozenvasser Edged in Semifinal of ITA Oracle Cup Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) faced senior Aman Manji of Emory University in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Oracle Cup on Friday, October 14 at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club in Surprise, Arizona. Manji rallied in the second set to defeat Rozenvasser and advance to his first national championship appearance.

    Rozenvasser Advances to Semifinals of ITA Oracle Cup Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) continued his sizzling start to his rookie campaign with a victory in the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Oracle Cup on Thursday, October 13. Rozenvasser gained entry to the national tournament by winning the ITA Southeast Regional on October 3.

    Rozenvasser Wins USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Singles Championship Freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team was victorious in the championship singles final at the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional on Monday, October 3, becoming the first Tartan freshman to win the title in program history.

Two doubles teams advanced while freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) will have his hand in the singles semifinals as well.

    Tartans Add Live Video Coverage for Men’s and Women’s Tennis Thanks to donor support, the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics will significantly enhance the coverage of men’s and women’s tennis beginning this fall. The department has signed with PlaySight to install six video cameras on its campus courts, making Carnegie Mellon a leader in live video streaming in Division III tennis.
