The three-day event is being held at the Cleveland Racquet Club in Cleveland, Ohio. Carnegie Mellon is now 6-5 while Emory moves to 4-2.

The Tartans turned in four singles wins to earn their sixth win of the season and advance to the semifinals of the tournament for the second consecutive year.

    Tartans Split with Division I and II Opponents The Carnegie Mellon University men’s tennis team, ranked seventh in Division III, topped Division II Walsh University, 8-1, before falling to Division I Saint Francis University, 5-2, on Saturday, February 11. Both matches were played at The Club Sport and Life in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The Tartans are now 4-3 on the season while the Cavaliers dropped just their second match of the year and are now 6-2 and the Red Flash advance to 4-2.

    Tennis Programs Give Back to University, Meet 100% Giving Challenge All members of the men’s and women’s tennis teams accepted the challenge given by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) to contribute to their programs and the athletic department. The tennis teams became the first to achieve 100 percent giving this year, in the third year of the challenge.

    Rozenvasser Edged in Semifinal of ITA Oracle Cup Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) faced senior Aman Manji of Emory University in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Oracle Cup on Friday, October 14 at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club in Surprise, Arizona. Manji rallied in the second set to defeat Rozenvasser and advance to his first national championship appearance.

    Tartans Add Live Video Coverage for Men’s and Women’s Tennis Thanks to donor support, the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics will significantly enhance the coverage of men’s and women’s tennis beginning this fall. The department has signed with PlaySight to install six video cameras on its campus courts, making Carnegie Mellon a leader in live video streaming in Division III tennis.
