  • Chu Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving senior Winston Chu (Warren, N.J./Saint Peter’s Prep) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Florida International University Spring Invite on Saturday, January 5.
  • Tartans Win FIU Sprint Invite
    January 05, 2019
    Four days into the winter training trip for the Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming team the Tartans competed at the Florida International University Sprint Invite against a mix of teams from Division I, II, and III. The Tartans finished first out of 11 teams with 548 points.
  • Bamforth Earns Second UAA Weekly Honor

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving senior Gabe Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS) was honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Diver of the Week. The honor is the second of the season for Bamforth.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving team started competition at the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational on Thursday setting three school records. Four NCAA B cuts were also met with seven individual swimmers reaching the top 10 during the finals.

  • Four Athletes Honored as Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars

    Every year beginning in 1975, Carnegie Mellon University has honored a select number of undergraduate seniors as Andrew Carnegie Society (ACS) Scholars. This year, four athletes are included on the list of 40 honorees – Gabe Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass. / CRLS) of men's swimming and diving, Seth Henry (Fulton, Md. / Reservoir) of men's basketball, Rory Hubbard (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. / Palos Verdes Peninsula) of football and Lauren Mueller (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown STEM Academy) of volleyball.
