  • Men’s Swimming Receives Team Scholar Award from CSCAA
    July 16, 2013
    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as five individuals were also named. The 2013 CSCAA Scholar Al-America Team and Individual Scholar All-Americans are supported by Nike.
  • Final Day Push Gives Tartans Second Place at UAA Championships

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team had a huge final day at the University Athletic Association Championships which pushed them to second place after entering the day in fourth. Sophomore Anton Razanav (San Diego, Calif./Westview) and junior Edward Sears (Boca Raton, Fla./Spanish River) brought home individual championships while the 1,650-yard freestyle had four finish in the top 10.
  • Sears Breaks School Record in Time Trial; Tartans Eyeing Big Final Day

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team was led by three third place finishes on Friday, February 15 on the second day of the University Athletic Association Championships hosted by the University of Chicago. The Tartans are currently in fourth place but sit just 4.5 points behind Case Western Reserve University for third place.
  • Relay Hits Provisional Time at UAA Championships

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team started action at the University Athletic Association Championships on Thursday, February 14 with 11 swimmers reaching the evening swim session. The meet is being hosted by the University of Chicago and the Tartans are currently in fourth place after the first day of competition.
  • Tartan Men Tune Up for UAA Championships at Pitt

    In a tune-up for the University Athletic Association Championships starting on February 13, the Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team went to the University of Pittsburgh to face the Panthers along with Clarion University and Grove City College.
  • Tartans Compete with National Power Denison
    January 26, 2013
    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team competed with national power Denison University on Saturday, January 26 at Denison with the Big Red taking the win, 141-128.
  • Tartans Win Two at Senior Meet with Westminster and Geneseo
    January 19, 2013
    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team started the second half of the season with double dual victories against SUNY Geneseo and Westminster College, Saturday, January 19. The Tartans topped Geneseo 194-92 and Westminster 197-90 while bringing in eight first-place finishes.
  • Tartans Equal with Nations Best at Kenyon Total Performance Invitational
    November 30, 2012
    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team traveled to Kenyon College for the annual Total Performance Invitational with Kenyon, Grove City College, Davidson College and Lake Erie College and the University of Pennsylvania. The team finished third overall and had several times meet NCAA qualifying standards.
  • Q & A with Sophomore Anton Razanav

    Sophomore men’s swimmer Anton Razanav has made a big impact at Carnegie Mellon. A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Razanav was crowned the University Athletic Association champion in the 200-yard backstroke last year before earning All-America Honorable Mention distinction as part of the 400-yard medley relay team that competed at the NCAA Championships.   • Tartans Ranked Eighth in CSCAA Division III Rankings

    The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced its first Division III Swimming and Diving Team Rankings of the season and both Tartan squads sit eighth in the poll. The rankings are voted on by six CSCAA member coaches.
  • Tartans Win Three at Home Quad Meet
    November 17, 2012
    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team won all three individual dual meets during its annual home quad meet with Allegheny College, University of Rochester and Washington & Lee University. The Tartans topped the Gators 178-84, the Yellowjackets 185-77 and the Generals 132.50-129.50.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team claimed 11 individual victories while sweeping eight events at their home meet against Grove City College Saturday, November 10. The Tartans defeated Grove City College 191-97.
  • Tartans Swim Past Clarion in Home Opener

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team defeated Division II Clarion University 202-97 in its home opening dual meet on Saturday, November 3. The men swept six events while placing first in 11 events.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team showed its depth as it opened the season with three wins at the University Athletic Association Invite hosted by the University of Rochester with Brandeis University, Case Western Reserve University, and New York University.

    Through six events at the University Athletic Association Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester, the Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team held the lead against three of their four opponents. Other teams in attendance were Brandeis University, Case Western Reserve University and New York University.
  • Ayres Excited to Join Tartan Family as Swimming & Diving Assistant

    Carnegie Mellon University head swimming and diving coach Matt Kinney has announced the hiring of Kellie Ayres as his new assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs. Ayres comes to Pittsburgh after serving in the same role at Dickinson College for the past two years.
