  • College Swim Coaches Association Honors Tartans with Academic Honor

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for its academic success for the 2011-2012 school year. The 26 member team earned a 3.10 GPA for the spring semester.
  • Stanton Named Academic All-District

    Carnegie Mellon University senior Matt Stanton (Richboro, Pa./Council), a member of the men’s swimming and diving team, was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team. CoSIDA recognizes outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments by honoring deserving athletes with All-Academic recognition with the official sponsor of Capital One.

    Four Carnegie Mellon University men swimmers finished competing at the 2012 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday, March 24. The Tartans ended the championships claiming five All-America Honorable Mention distinctions.
  • Tartans Record Five Honorable Mention All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

    On the second day of competition at the 2012 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday, March 22, Carnegie Mellon University recorded five All-America Honorable Mention awards. The Tartans 400-yard medley relay team along with junior Daniel Glaser-Garbrick (Dayton, Ohio/Centreville) swam in the consolation finals Thursday evening.
  • Indianapolis Bound! Swimming Relay Heading to Nationals

    The Carnegie Mellon University 400-yard men’s medley relay team has been invited to compete at the 2012 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships on March 21-24. The meet will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana at the IU Natatorium.
  • Razanav's Win Highlights Tartans UAA Finish

    Freshman Anton Razanav (San Diego, Calif./Westview) won the 200-yard backstroke on Saturday during the final day of the University Athletic Association Championships held at Case Western Reserve University. The Tartans finished in fifth place as Emory University took the team title.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team are currently fourth in the standings at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships. The 200-yard medley relay led the way for the Tartans while two individuals had a second and third-place showing apiece.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving competed at the first day of the University Athletic Association Championships Thursday, February 16. The championships are being held in Cleveland, Ohio hosted by Case Western Reserve University.
  • Tartans Top Two Teams at Univesity of Pittsburgh

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team traveled to the University of Pittsburgh to compete against the Panthers, Grove City College and Clarion University on Saturday, February 4. The Tartans won two out of three, defeating the Wolverines and Golden Eagles.
  • Tartans Close Home Season Against Denison

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team hosted Denison University in its last home meet of the season on Saturday, January 28. The Big Red, last year's NCAA Champions, won the meet 178-114.
  • Razanav Earns UAA Honor

    Carnegie Mellon University freshman Anton Razanav (San Diego, Calif./Westview) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for his performance over the weekend in dual meets against SUNY Geneseo and Westminster. The freshman helped guide the Tartans to a 2-0 dual record with a 176-117 win against Geneseo and a 198-95 victory over Westminster.

  • Provisional Times Lead Tartans at Top Performance Invitational

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming team was led by five NCAA provisional qualifying times as the team finished fourth at the Top Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College from Thursday, December 1 through Saturday, December 3. Finishing ahead of the Tartans was University of Pennsylvania, Kenyon, and Davidson College.
  • Fatsi Takes Both Diving Events During Quad Meet

    Senior diver Eli Fatsi (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal) continued his impressive start to the 2011-12 diving season with two first-place finishes at the Carnegie Mellon University Diving Quad Meet on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. The results were unscored but Fatsi topped divers from Allegheny College, University of Rochester and Washington & Jefferson University.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming team swept results at the Carnegie Mellon University Quad Meet on Saturday. The Tartans defeated Washington & Lee University 132.5-129.5, the University of Rochester 185-77, and Allegheny College 178-84.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team traveled north to Grove City College on Saturday, November 12, for a 1:00 p.m. meet with the Wolverines. The Tartans won the meet 180-109 behind 12 first-place finishes and three sweeps.

    As the Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads prepare for their third meet of the season on Saturday, November 12, they took time out Tuesday to help fight cancer. For the fourth consecutive year, the team participated in the Ted Mullin: Hour of Power.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team opened its home season with a 167-133 win over Division II Clarion University on Saturday, November 5. The Tartans won nine races while finishing second in 10.
  • Tartans Win Two of Three at Rochester Duals

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team opened the 2011-12 year at the University of Rochester in a double dual meet with the host Yellowjackets, Case Western Reserve University and New York University. The Tartans defeated Rochester and New York but fell to Case Western.
  • Kinney Hires Tom Nawrot as Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach

    Carnegie Mellon University’s swimming and diving head coach Matt Kinney hired Tom Nawrot as his full-time assistant coach to start the 2011-12 season. Nawrot is a 2009 graduate of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), where he also served as an assistant coach for the past two seasons.
