  • Moskowitz Named to All-ECAC Team

    Junior Jacob Moskowitz (Wilmette, Ill. / New Trier Township) represents the Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer team on the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men’s Soccer Team, as announced by the ECAC Tuesday afternoon. Moskowitz is the second Tartan to earn the award under the new structure started in 2017 and 10th player since 2013 to be recognized by the ECAC.
  • McCambridge, Masciopinto Receive CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America Honors

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer seniors Jack McCambridge (Bethlehem, Pa./Moravian Academy) and Zack Masciopinto (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Could Academic All-America Division III Men’s Soccer Team. The announcement, which came out Tuesday, honors 33 men's players from across the nation.
  • Cohen Named United Soccer Coaches All-Region

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer junior Elliot Cohen (Solana Beach, Calif. / Canyon Crest Academy) was named to the United Soccer Coaches Great Lakes Region second team when the organization announced its awards late Monday afternoon.
  • #11 Tartans Finish Season with OT Loss at #10 Kenyon

    The 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team faced 10th-ranked Kenyon College in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship at Kenyon on Sunday, November 11 after advancing via penalty kicks in the first round. The Tartans held a 1-0 lead late before Kenyon won in overtime, 2-1. The Tartans end the season with an 11-5-3 record.
  • #11 Tartans Advance in NCAA Tournament Via PK Shootout

    The 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team advanced to the second round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship on Saturday, November 10 after topping Centre College in a PK shootout following a 0-0 draw. The match was played at Kenyon College and puts the Tartans overall mark at 11-4-3.
  • McCambridge, Masciopinto Honored on CoSIDA Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team

  • Four Tartans Earn All-UAA Recognition

    Four Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer players were honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches on Thursday, November 8 for their play throughout the 2018 season in which the team finished 11-4-2 with a 3-4 showing in the league. Junior Jack Painter (Bethlehem, Pa. / Moravian Academy) was named to the All-Association First Team, junior Jacob Moskowitz (Wilmette, Ill. / New Trier Township) earned second-team honors, while senior Philip Petrakian (Redwood City, Calif. / Sacred Heart Preparatory) and junior Elliot Cohen (Solana Beach, Calif. / Canyon Crest Academy) were named honorable mention.
  • Men's Soccer Selected to Play for 2018 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the 14th for the program and third under fifth-year head coach Brandon Bowman. The last appearance for the Cardinal and Gray was in 2016.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team played at ninth-ranked University of Rochester on Sunday, October 28 for a University Athletic Association (UAA) contest. The Tartans scored first but fell 3-1 to the Yellowjackets and are now 10-4-2 overall and 2-4 in the UAA.

The Tartans are now 8-3-1 overall and 1-3 in UAA play while the Bears move to 6-5-1 and 2-1-1.

    The 13th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team hosted No. 1 University of Chicago on Friday, October 12 in a University Athletic Association (UAA) contest. Despite an early goal by the Tartans, the Maroons stayed unbeaten with a 2-1 victory. The Tartans are now 8-2-2 overall and 1-2 in the UAA while the Maroons move to 12-0-1 and 3-0.

    The eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team hosted Brandeis University for a University Athletic Association (UAA) contest on Saturday, October 6 with the Judges earning a 1-0 victory. The Tartans are now 8-1-2 for the season and 1-1 in UAA play while the Judges move to 6-4-1 and 1-0-1.

The Tartans, who gained entrance to the national rankings this week, are now 4-0-1 for the year while Westminster falls to 4-2.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team toppled La Roche College by a 10-0 score on Sunday, September 9 during a rain-filled afternoon. Sophomore Jordi Long (Silver Spring, Md. / Montgomery Blair) scored twice and assisted on two goals off the bench for the Tartans who are now 3-0-1 for the season.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team opened the season on the road against Denison University with a 2-1 double-overtime victory. Senior Greg Bellwoar (Devon, Pa. / St. Joe's Prep) tallied both goals with the game-winner coming with nine seconds before the conclusion of the contest.
