(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer senior defender Jimmy Jameson (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Offensive Athlete of the Week by the UAA office for his performance during the opening weekend of the season.
Jameson tallied four goals in two games, including three in a 5-0 win at home against Denison University. Jameson's first goal of the season sent Friday's game at fifth-ranked Kenyon to overtime when he connected on a header in the 89th minute. On Sunday against Denison, he opened the game's scoring in the sixth minute and went on to score in the 13th and 38th minutes.
The 20th-ranked Tartans will next play at seventh-ranked University of Redlands on Friday, September 8 before facing Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Sunday, September 10.
