  • Wheaton Scores First Career Goal in 2-0 Win Against Grove City

    Junior Jamie Wheaton (Lexington, Mass. / Lexington) scored his first career goal, as the 14th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team defeated Grove City College, 2-0, at home Friday, September 22. The Tartans move their record to 6-1 with their sixth consecutive shutout, while the Wolverines drop to 4-2-2.
  • #21 Tartans Earn Fifth Straight Shutout, Top Allegheny 4-0

    The21st-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team earned its fifth straight shutout on Monday, September 18 when it defeated Allegheny College on the road, 4-0. The Tartans improve to 5-1 on the season while the Gators drop to 3-4.

    The 21st-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer team struck early against visiting Westminster College and went on to a 4-0 victory on Friday, September 15. The Tartans move to 4-1 on the season while the Titans drop to 2-4-1.
  • Four Named Athlete of the Week by ECAC

    Four Carnegie Mellon University athletes were honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) when the organization announced its weekly award winners this week. Earning the first award of the season are men’s soccer junior Alec Lam (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional), women’s soccer freshman Carolyn Botz (St. Louis, Mo./Micds), volleyball sophomore Kayla Yew (San Francisco, Calif./Sacred Heart Cathedral), and senior football player Sam Benger (Hingham, Mass/Hingham).
  • Fall ID Camp Announced by Men's Soccer Coaches

    Carnegie Mellon University junior goalkeeper Alec Lam (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday, September 11. Lam helped lead the Tartans to a 2-0 week with an overall record of 3-1.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team closed out its West Coast trip with a second 1-0 victory when it topped Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, 1-0, on Sunday, September 10. The 20th-ranked Tartans are now 3-1 on the season while the Sagehens drop to 1-2-1.

    The 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer team forced overtime at 5th-ranked Kenyon College Friday, September 1 but were defeated by the Lords by a golden goal in the 107th minute in the season opener for both teams.
  • Men’s Soccer Earns Top 25 Preseason Ranking

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer team will start the 2017 campaign in the national rankings, as they appear 20th in the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) NCAA Division III Preseason Coaches Poll, released last week.
