(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - The University Athletic Association (UAA) announced its 30th Anniversary Men's Golf Team on Thursday, March 8. Forty student-athletes earned the honor with four representing Carnegie Mellon University.
The team consists of each student-athlete who earned Player of the Year or accumulated five or more points in his career, with two points awarded for All-Association first-team recognition, and one point for second-team honors.
Leading the team for the Tartans is George Qian (2014-2017), a four-time award winner with three first-team selections.
Byung Kang, Christopher Lee, and Alex Timmons join Qian on the 30th Anniversary team, as all three were Association Champions. Kang was the won the UAA Tournament in 1995 with Timmons earning the honor in 2007 and Lee in 2009. Lee also earned first-team recognition in 2008.
