Jason Li Cards One-Under 70 in Final Round of Gordin Collegiate Classic

(DELWARE, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the final round of the 54-hole Gordin Collegiate Classic hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the Deleware Golf Club in Deleware, Ohio on Monday afternoon. The Tartans carded their best round of the classic on Monday with a 294 to finish with a 911 (313-304-294) on the par 71, 6,562-yard course.

Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) fired the teams lowest round of the 54-hole event on Monday with a one-under par 70. Li tied for 21st overall with a 224 (78-76-70). Finishing a stroke ahead of the freshman was senior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) with a 223 (79-72-72) and placed tied for 18th individually.

Freshmen Derek Li (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) and Aryan Chordia (Dubai, UAE/Jumeriah College) ended with a 234 (76-83-75) and 239 (83-79, 77) while classmate Tre-vor Arashiro (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) closed the classic with a 242 (80-77-85).

The Tartans return to action on October 7-8 as they play in the Oglethorpe Royal Lakes Invita-tional. The 36-hole tournament is being held at the Royal Lakes Golf Club in Flowery Branch, Georgia.
